How to Play "A Christmas Problem"
Items:
14 Gifts
1-4 Players
2-4 Pawns
1 Board
1 Dice
Set Up:
Each player puts its pawn
on\near the "Start" space.
Take 7 gifts and place them each on a different space on the board. You may not put them on the "Start or
Finish," or on striped spaces.
Place the remaining 7 gifts on the side of the game.
Story:
It's Christmas Eve and you, a
little elf, is so excited for Christmas to come. When you get the news that Santa's sleigh
will leave, you hurry and say goodbye.
All was well until your friend tells you that Santa's sleigh has crashed
in Green Town. The gifts have been lost
all over the city, the forest, and partly in the North Pole.
Object:
Be the one at "Santa's
Home" to have the most gifts so that you can save Christmas (and get a
special prize)!
How to Play:
The first player rolls the dice
and moves the amount given. If the
player lands on a gift, the same player picks it up. It now belongs to that player. If the player lands on a black striped space,
it will have to give away one of its gifts to the store. If the player has none, then that space has
nothing to do with him\her unless he\she has a gift. If the player lands on a green striped space,
it has landed in the store. In the store
the player has the possibility to get a free gift, but just one gift. The second player rolls the dice now and
moves the amount given...etc. The game
continues this way until everyone has arrived at "Finish" or
"Santa's Home." Then everyone
counts how many gifts they have. The
person with the most gifts wins. In case
of a tie, the first person to have arrived to Santa's Home wins.
